Pig Head in Surau in University of Malaya

Dear Campus Community,

We regret to inform that an unfortunate incident occurred earlier
today.

At 5 a.m, 16th of January 2009 the remains of a pig's head was
found in the surau of Academy of Islamic Studies (API).

The Management of University of Malaya (UM) strongly condemns this
despicable act aimed at creating disunity. Further investigations are
being conducted and security on campus will be tightened.

We appeal to everyone to remain calm and provide full cooperation in
this matter.
